The Eastern Soaring League comes to Long Island 9/22 and 9/23

Every year the Long Island Silent Flyers , www.lisf.org , host two Eastern Soaring League unlimited sailplane TD contests. The first was in June. It was a great event that drew 35 pilot registrations.

The next one will be in Septermber on Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd. These will be two individual contests so you can fly one or fly both. There will be awards each day and an award for top pilot for the weekend.

We fly an Expert Class, a Sportsman Class and we also welcome Novices.

If you like to fly contests and can get to Long Island, we would love to have you join us. We will likey have pilots from New Hampshire to North Carolina and perhaps farther away than that. Many of the ESL pilots attended this year's National Championships.

If you are an LSF pilot looking for your level III, IV or V contests this should be a good one for you to attend. We will be flying MOM off 4 to 5 winches.

We still have about 4 weeks to go for registration and already there are 22 pilots signed up. With a little luck we could hit 40.

Register here. Feel free to ask questions.
