Uh oh. Did you strip a head?

Standard glow plugs are SAE 10-32 thread.

There are a couple of oddballs out there... most notably the Cox glow heads. (0.010 ci to 0.15 ci)

The thread is a 1/4 by 32. Higley sells a tap to run through to make sure the threads are okay. He also sells a match die to run a new plug through to make sure the threads are okay. Mr. Lee is best man around to fix a stripped glow head thread. He is quite reasonable and very fast. Send him the head and check and you will have it back in a week with new insert for the plug. He charges $15 for a two stroke up to .90, .90 and four strokes are $17.50. His address is 10112 Woodward Avenue, Sunland, CA 91040 (tel 818-352-3766). He is the man!
